NASA recently released its highest-resolution photo of Earth -- part of the agency's unofficial "blue marble" series dating back decades. That photo showed much of Mexico -- but what about the rest of the Earth? Today, NASA obliged its clamoring public (likely comprised mostly of space geeks and elementary-school teachers) and released an image of the other side of Earth.

Match.com tells us that most of the people using the dating site aren't in any hurry to relinquish their single status. Look out for the wallaby! Deputy finds furry friend

Wallabies are usually found in Australia. In zoos. In movies for children. They're not often found hopping across roads in Pierce County. But Thursday was the exception. KIRO Radio reports a Pierce County Sheriff's deputy made a wallaby-crossing stop, thinking he was seeing a kangaroo on the loose. (Close -- wallabies are like little kangaroos.)

Why Seattle escaped Forbes’ miserable cities list

It's always sunny in Seattle. Not literally, of course. But Seattle was nowhere to be found on Forbes magazine's new "Most Miserable Cities" list -- quite a feat of avoidance for a city plagued by rainclouds and a reputation for an introverted populace. Could it be that factors besides weather and culture make a place miserable? Apparently so.
